You come out saying that the National Council of Provinces will not rubber-stamp the Scorpions Bills that were passed by the National Assembly in October.
Do you honestly think that we are idiots?
You are just trying to show that the ANC is not soft on crime, yet the evidence is very clear that you are. The police are under-staffed, under-equipped and under-paid, and in the last ten years the ANC has done very little to change any of these things. The evidence proves it!
We also know that the ANC has been involved in some very dodgy, if not downright criminal activity e.g. Travelgate. We know that the ANC is scared to come down hard on crime because their own crimes will then be exposed.
Furthermore, we know that you are getting rid of the Scorpions because they were sniffing too close to Zuma and his other ANC cronies. You wanted to stop them before they got anything too substantive on the ANC fatcats. Getting rid of the Scorpions is just you getting rid of anything which will expose your party members for who we all know they are.
This is clearly election posturing. You know that you are in the kak over how you handled the Mbeki issue and you are trying to pander for our support. You will probably add in some meaningless changes to postpone the Bills until after the election.
Finally do you REALLY expect us to believe that you would go against your own party in any way? You wouldn’t dare to decide against what your leaders have told you to do.
