Tito and his millions

Damn I want to work at the Reserve Bank!

It seems as if you control the money, you can just make up your own salary. Tito’s salary is now apparently R3,8-million from R2,9-million in the previous year. That’s a 25% increase!! Why???

The bank’s Deputy Governors, Xolile Guma and Renosi Mokate, received increases of more than 50 percent. Again, WHY!?

When the average person can maybe expect a salary increase of 7 percent, how is it justifiable that these people can have such massive increases on already massive salaries?

I often wonder why the grassroots people are happy to just accept things like this. OK if these people actually did a good job with visible and tangible results then maybe they would deserve it, but under their custodianship our Rand has plummeted, inflation is still extremely high and people are starving in the streets. Jobs are also not available for upwards of 40% of people.

So tell me, how do these people deserve these salaries???
