My feelings on Zuma as ANC leader

Zuma being elected as president of the ANC has re-affirmed my beliefs that the people in this country do not think but are rather just swayed by emotion.

Any thinking person would see how ludicrous it is to have that man as a leader and quite possibly the next president of South Africa!

Zuma has been mired in the controversy of corruption charges which are still not resolved, been accused of rape in which he was later acquitted and stood there in court telling us all that to combat HIV, all you need is to take a hot shower!

Fine, the people of the ANC do not like Mbeki and his policies. In fact many non-ANC South Africans dislike his policies too. But there is no need to go rushing after this dodgy Zuma when there are much better candidates.

Cyril Ramaphosa or Tokyo Sexwale would have been my first choices. There is no scandal attached to their names, they have both made a huge success of themselves in the marketplace and would probably make South Africa a more prosperous place. But enough about them.

Zuma will not only be bad for South Africa with his reliance on the support of the Trade Unions and the left wing, but also because he is a joke in the international community. In order to improve life in South Africa we have to rely on foreign investments and good foreign relations. Under Zuma I don’t think this will take place.

When are the grassroots people going to wake up and see these leaders for the kind of people they are: opportunistic, corrupt and self-centred.

What will happen if Zuma is indeed charged and jailed? What will the “groundroots” people do then?

I am not optimistic about the future of our country.

A simple question to the thousands of ANC voters in Polokwane: Are you really pro Zuma, or merely anti Mbeki?

      Louisn,
Ek stem saam.

I’m watching this space!

      Marlenek,

‘n Foutlose mens is ‘n ongeleefde illusie.

      Hallo Louis & Marlenek,

Ek praat graag politiek maar as mense so genadeloos in ander se krakters inklim oor ‘n saak wat almal oor saamstem (Inge) dan kan ek net dink wat met politiek gaan gebeur.

Ek sal nogtans my mening waag.
