National ‘Not’tery?

Well it is almost six months now and still no National Lottery and still no date announced.lotto.jpg

What the hell are these idiots doing in the Department of Trade and Industry? We hear that the work has been done and that all that is left is for Minister Mpahlwa to announce the date, but yet silence.

“It’s very imminent. We have done all the checks we needed to do,” DTI director-general Tshediso Matona said back in the beginning of August. Mmm it seems that ‘imminent’ means something entirely different to the DTI than to the rest of the world.

Love it or hate it, the Lotto did give money to some worthy causes. There are several charity organisations which have been suffering for some time because of the lack of funding.

It seems as though the ineptitude of the current government extends into all departments. Do these ministers actually ever get any work done, or do they just spend our tax money going abroad for conferences?

Just for once I would like to see a government department actually function ‘normally’.
