Site News: New Discussion Forum
Hi all
A few people have written to me asking to move people’s comments to the new posts. Unfortunately that is impossible. However I have come up with a much better solution.
On the menu, you can see the link to ‘Forum’. I have just installed a MUCH better system than before and a whole lot easier to read too! So instead of commenting here on the blog, you can make use of the forums. This will create a more orderly and easily readable thread.
If you look to the right of this page, you will see the latest Forum topics displayed below the SA News section. (I will get rid of the irritating error message as soon as possible).
There are some other bonuses: you can send messages to other users, be notified when someone replies to your posts and also being able to customise your account. More features will be added at a later stage, including a gallery for posting your photos and blog so you can tell SA and the world how you feel.
I have a range of forums now available:
General Discussion: This is for anything you would like to say, add jokes, poems etc.
Inge Lotz Murder: This is a special board due to the large number of people who post on this topic
There is also: Crime, Environment, Womens Issues, Sport Education, Politics, Tourism and even a free Jobs forum where people can look for, or advertise positions.
Please remember that this will only work if everyone takes part!
I have moved some accounts over to the forum, so theoretically once you log into Blogsouthafrica.net you will not need to log into the forums separately. This is only on test, so may not work for everyone. If you find it doesn’t work this way, then try logging into the Forum with your existing username and password. If that fails, create a new account on the forum using the same details as on the site.
If you have any difficulties, leave a message on the ‘Site Problems’ forum or email me via the ‘Contact’ page on the site.
